This summer has been pretty exciting so far. Thomas was able to take swimming lessons. He did so well, we are so proud of his progress. He has become so much more independant in the pool. Thomas loves going to the park so we try to find different parks for him to play at. It is so cute because he has names for them. We asked him which park he wanted to go to the other day, he said the Yellow Park. I assumed it was one on our way to Grandma Claire's house. You will see why he calls it that in the picture. He really loves the "Airplane Park".
Mommy got a new job with a crazy schedule, but she is able to spend more quality time with Thomas on her days off which she loves. We have started having school time where mommy helps Thomas do activities such as cutting, matching, writing, coloring, patterns, opposites, etc. Thomas is so smart, he knows all of his letters and a lot of the sounds they make. Grandma Claire really works with him too when she watches him. He likes watching Word World and Super Why on PBS. He picks up a lot from those educational shows as well.
We enjoy meeting daddy for lunch sometimes. We love watching the street sweeper come by. Thomas gets to sit in the front seat while we are parked in the alley to watch it go by. I know, pretty exciting huh?
Well, we had a pretty big earthquake today here in Southern California. We were away from the house most of the day. When we got home we found many things out of place, we had a few messes to clean up. It was a bit scary opening cupboards and closet doors. No major damage was done, thank goodness and most importantly we are all safe.
