Continued

Ok, so our interesting experience is this....
While we were in Manti, James wanted to talk to some people who had a website about some seer stones. So we went to a mini mart type store (that is all they have there) and he found an address of someone who might know of someone who had the website. So we found the address, after realizing we had passed it about 5 times, we stopped so James could go in and ask his questions. Thomas and I stay in the car w/ the heater on cuz it is raining and a little cold. So some young girl answers the door, I'm thinking she is about 15 or so. She goes in and gets an old man, James thinks he was in his late 70's or so. So they are all talking on the porch, then soon they all step inside the house. A couple minutes later, the girl comes running to the car with a sort of Jan Brady sort of stride, she opens the passenger door and says with a sort of creepy smile, "Hi, I'm Cassandra. My husband is answering some of your husbands questions, we are waiting for the apostle to arrive. If you would like to come inside where it is warm and out of the rain, you are welcome to." I said kindly with a fake smile, "thank you, we are ok, maybe in a few minutes". She trots back inside, In the mean time I was thinking 'what in the heck?' So I immediately call James and said "what in the heck, an 'apostle' is coming?" He said he was coming out right now. Right when he got in the car, he said "get out of here". So we gladly left that strange scene. The only thing I liked about Manti was getting to see the Temple where my parents were sealed. It was closed because of General Conference, but someday I would like to go inside.

It was a nice ride through the small towns and farm land. We saw some beautiful scenery. I was tempted to drive really fast on the roads between towns, but I was careful, plus James was on my case about my speed. Oh well, we weren't really in a hurry, I just like to go fast.

We stopped a couple more times before we got into Springville. I had a great time visiting my friend who I grew up with in Garden Grove as a child. We had such a nice time that I forgot to take pictures of her and her family or her and I together or the kids playing and being so cute.

(I have to get ready for work now, I will post more later.)
